Set Dances is a practice tool for Irish dancers. It provides the music for all the traditional and championship set dances approved by the Irish Dance Commission (An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha) for use in Irish dance competitions. This app allows the music to be adjusted to a wide range of speeds.
The music tracks were made in sync with a computer metronome, and the indicated speeds have been checked for accuracy against a stopwatch and other calibrated timing sources.

Looks great, easy to use.
It would be good if the quality of the songs could be improved. It sounds a bit like it uses midi files.
This is a really great app, especially as a teacher Im able to slow down speeds while student are first learning and then slowly increase them. Thanks :)
Some bad moments
Let me start off by saying that if apple allowed for half stars Id give this app 4 1/2 stars. The list of songs is perfect and it does exactly what it says it will do. If you are looking for your music at a speed that isnt common or if you want to try your set out at different speeds this is the app for you.
My requests for future releases are
1. The app shuts down when your phone goes into sleep mode. My current setting is at 60 seconds which is not long enough to dance a set. I know I can increase that setting but I am concerned with the battery life.
2. I would love the ability to have a song on repeat.
3. It would also be nice to see how long the song is and how long you have remaining - I know this would have to change as you adjust the speeds but it would sure be handy if you are just trying to work on the set.
4. I would LOVE to have other dances on here - like slip jigs and reels... I would gladly purchase expansion packs!
Overall this is a great app and worth every penny. Where else can you get every single set dance at every speed?
Great app. I loaded it on my iPad and I can have my daughter practice a little faster and a little slower getting ready for live musicians at Oireachtas! Fantastic idea.
I am so disapointed with this app because every time i try to change the tune it close the app!! What is the point if thats all that happens?

This app is amazing. It works so well! Its amazing for Oireachtas practice, and when Im practicing for a regular feis too. It works especially well when Im practicing with friends, because we all do different Set Dances. Its great for class too, incase we dont have the right music, or the right speed. Its also great because my teacher likes to prepare us for when were dancing with live musicians because we can practice going faster or slower then were used to. All in all, I think this is a great app and, while it might seem pricey, its worth every cent.
I love this app!!! It helps so much at competitions!!! Most of the time I cant find my set dance at the right speed but with this I can have the perfect timing!!! U should buy! Its perfect and so worth the money!!! I love irish dancing!!!!!!<3 <3
